Happy Reading Weekend!

Two of the regular readers at the library, Kenogs and my daughter, Star. This is one of the shelf for the reference books. We have two shelves at the moment. One shelf contains nursing text books, incomplete set of encyclopedia, text books for accounting, management, and welding. The other shelf contains inspirational books, children's books, and elementary text books for English, Mathematics, Science, History, and Geography. Kindly help us produce more books especially that the school year is fast approaching. The library is a walking distance from a public elementary school and we wish to cater to these children to help them enhance their reading skills and increase literacy.

We hope you can help us in this humble endeavor. We are trying to help more via other helpful activities. Thank you very much and more blessings!

The Public Reading Room

The Public Reading Room is one childhood dream that I am putting into reality. When I was a kid,  I always see my Dad reading books. He has had a big bookshelf filled with many metals engineering books, management books, and the Bible. He even have a thick Bible comics which I was so fond of reading back then. I believe it was his love for reading that got me into reading, too. Whenever  I see something to read, any kind, from comics to magazines to books, I will stop whatever I am doing and read a while.

I thought that when I grow old, I will share all our books to people. When my dad died, I don't know what happened to the other books. Maybe they got too old and was eaten by termites. We have had a few left plus some which I purchased when I started to earn money . Still, it is not enough. But somehow, I feel that if I do not start now, I wont be able to open this public reading room to people.

This public reading room hopes to inculcate love for reading and increase literacy among Filipinos, and to all this reading room can reach to serve.
